God has been and is always good in my life.
2007 saw Nissi 3's growth stopped for most of the time, though we were doing the right things. God taught me one thing - patience. Most Christians in Singapore would always conveniently throw patience out of the window because of our fast paced society. But patience in God's Kingdom is an important virtue. God is always patient, that He desires that the whole world turn to Him. He taught me to wait on the Him, and wait for Him. He asked me, "Are you serving me for numbers? Or are you serving Me because you love Me? If you say you love Me, then serve Me, and serve my people."
2007 saw most of my time in army. From time to time, God answered my prayers in army. Right out from BMT, God answered my prayers by putting me in a camp near my house. After which, He answered my prayers again for a 8-5 job in army again. He gave me a position that is parellel to Nehemiah's post in the Bible. Sometimes I failed in the position, but God is always faithful to guide me, and pick me up. Thank you God. God, when I was alone on that army bed, struggling with issues in life, You were there for me. God, when I walked that 24km route march, You were the One who carried me. God, when I misplaced my Boss' car keys, You were there to help me, to give me peace. God, when I felt lonely in army, You were the One who was by my side. Thank You Jesus. Find me one Man who will be as faithful as You are and I will throw myself into the sea!
2007 is also a great year for my family. We had our first ever family chalet (though my brother was away in Australia for one month for holiday)! KS, Daryl and Huijin came over and helped me out with the decorations for my sister's birthday buffet at the chalet. They are like my REAL SIBLINGS, who so willingly helped me with the chalet, serving my family members and my sisters' friends when they came for dinner. Thank you brothers and sister. It is a miracle because my mother is a person who hates to "travel" and move out of the house.
YI CAMP (youth camp) was also wonderful and memorable in 2007. The wargames, the cheers, the leaders get togethers to discuss, the late suppers with KS and Keni, the prayers answered, the words God spoke. Wonderful is just not enough a word to describe the camp!
WIth 2007 closing in a few hours time, I move on towards 2008 with courage based on Psalm 46:1-2 :
God is [my] Refuge and Strength a very present Help n trouble. Therefore [I] will not fear, though the earths be removed and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea.
Whatever that come my way, so be it! God is my Strength. STRENGTH BELONGS TO MY GOD! 2008, HERE I JUMP IN!
