the healing love of God

can you imagine!?

a HIV positive man healed by Christ!?

he came personally to our church to testify.

he was 31kg and blinded by the virus, crippled and dying. and as he stood at the front of our church, he could see, he could stand, he was 70 KG, and looking strong, far from death!

HALLELUJAH to our Most High God!

who can ever fathom His power?

who can ever describe His love??

this man was not a christian when he got the virus. but once he got the virus, once he knew, his girlfriend left him, and his family hated him. he was left alone, dying.

one day he switched on the radio and a christian station came on. this was in thailand. the deejay was saying, "receive the love of God. God CAN HEAL ANYTHING."

there and then, he cried out to God, saying," GOD! if you will heal me, because i am suffering, i will go everywhere and tell everyone about YOU!"

for it is true with the verse - whoever that calls on the Name of the Lord shall be saved!

from that moment of faith, he was healed of his blindness first and then he could walk around, and he became well! and he yearned to go to a church.

a few days later, a christian teacher approached him and talked to him about Christ. immediately he said,"yes i want to go to church!"

and yesterday, fit and strong as he is, standing there, testifying about the Lord! he cried while he gave testimony. well, i know how it feels. God can pick up a life so broken, to use it for HIS GLORY!

God doesnt mind how broken your life is, God doesnt mind how "dirty" your life is, Jesus doesnt mind who you are.

each and everyone of us is His creation, awaiting for adoption into His Kingdom!

for those who hasnt believed in the Lord, if time and again, the Lord has spoken to you, and touched your heart, receive Him, and your joy will be complete!

reconciliation night

when the non-christian mothers came for mothers day dinner in our church yesterday, i knew God has done a job so well, it makes me marvel at His love and grace.

some mothers came because they wonder what had changed their daughters and sons.

some mothers came in search of spiritual truth.

some mothers came to seek for help from above.

and when i saw the mothers interacting joyfully with their children from our church, i know God's grace has been extended.

it was because of God's love that even the children can be saved. the children in turn, changed forever by God's love, go forth and tell their mothers about this great God.

and i know my job as an area leader was worth it afterall.

i hear for myself, how the mothers talk about the change of their daughters and sons after they came to church.

indeed, our lives will be a glory to what the Lord has done on the cross.

i see mothers raising hands, accepting the Lord Jesus into their lives.

i saw a woman who had just been widowed. and her daughter from our church. i immediately understood her pain and her desperate need for help from above.

and i know God will work in that family. God, please heal that family.

yesterday night was a great night of reconciliation.

Malachi 4:6 "He will restore the hearts of the fathers (and mothers) to their children and the hearts of the children to their fathers (and mothers), so that I will not come and smite the land with a curse."

God, i pray for the mothers of Jayme, Julian, Dawn, Nico, Weiwei, Weehuat, Xuanwen, Luwei, Yijun, Timothy, Mervin, Ziyi, Roger, and all that came yesterday. may Your authority, power and love be with them. guide them into truth and let them realise that Your love is the greatest love in the history of mankind!

everyone, what would you do in these situations....? (HONESTLY)

1. you just quarreled with a colleague. you go for lunch and sat down with another colleague. what would you do?

 2. you see a middle age woman with lots of bags of groceries coming up the train, balancing herself. you are VERY VERY TIRED. what do you do?

3. you just came home. your mom was really unreasonable. scolded you for something you did not do. what would you do?

4. you are alone in a room with a boy/girl you like. people have warned you not to have sex before marriage before because of high risk of STDs, HIV, unwanted pregnancies. what do you do? you are 18 years old already.

5. you made an enemy in school. you really don't like him. you see him eating alone in the cookhouse. you are sitting with your friends. what do you do?

please leave A COMMENT. if you can.

let me tell you what Jesus (if He was like any one of us) would do.

1 & 5. He would go over to the colleague/friend He quarreled with and tell him nicely that it is just a misunderstanding and even apologise saying"if i offended you, i am sorry." He would smile and invite him to sit together. He will never gossip. How many of us will actually start gossiping?

MATT5:44: But I say to you, love your enemies, and pray for those who persecute you.

2. He would go all the way. help her carry the bags to her house even.

MATT20:28: Just so, the Son of Man did not come to be served but to serve

3.Jesus would forgive her mom and find a time to talk to her.

Mat 6:12 (NRSV) And forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors.

4.He would leave the room.

Genesis 39:8-9, "But he refused, and said unto his master's wife, Behold, my master wotteth not what is with me in the house, and he hath committed all that he hath to my hand..how then can I do this great wickedness, and sin against God?"

Jesus' standards are so much higher than ours, aren't they?

Devotion

Devotion
Hillsong United

Verse 1
I've been running, trying to be one who sees
I've been working, salvation out on my knees
There is nothing better than knowing
That we are redeemed
Unbelieving trusting in creative hands,
I am praying for our world to bow to your plan
And this one thought is unmistakable
I take up my cross and follow you Lord

Chorus
When you stand the tall trees and mountains bow
When you speak the fiercest of oceans is still
And I see the sinner seek devotion
The lost become chosen, and I fall to my knees

Verse 2
Unforgiven, my savior who did not deserve death
He was blameless and I was lost in shamefulness
Undelivered, but it doesn't seem right
Unless I keep my eyes focused on the savior who gave his live
In the middle of a world that denies it believes
It is breaking apart at the very seams
There is one thing to be alive for
And it's to take up my cross and follow you Lord

Bridge
I will take up my cross and follow Lord where you lead me
And I will take up my cross and follow wherever you go

-----> how true that when God stands, everything on earth will obey Him! so knowing that we serve such a Mighty God, shouldn't we take up our Cross and follow Him?

famous quotes from famous christians

famous quotes from famous christians

"They want to sentence me to death and I accept it… I am a Christian, which means I believe in the Trinity… I believe in Jesus Christ." - Abdul Rahman, converted from Islam. (When facing a possible death sentence by the Muslim courts in Afghanistan, Abdul Rahman held firm to his convictions. He was later freed and escaped to Europe.)

“You were made by God and for God, and until you understand that, life will never make sense.” - rick warren (author of Purpose Driven Life)

So we can't accept everything that comes our way, we have to be intelligent as Christians. - Benny Hinn (great healer of God, comes to Singapore annually)

Give me five minutes with a person's checkbook, and I will tell you where their heart is. - Billy Graham (powerful evangelist, preaching the gospel to millions)

There is nothing wrong with men possessing riches. The wrong comes when riches possess men. - Billy Graham (powerful evangelist, preaching the gospel to millions)

I know this world is ruled by infinite intelligence. Everything that surrounds us- everything that exists - proves that there are infinite laws behind it. There can be no denying this fact. It is mathematical in its precision  - Thomas A. Edison (famous scientist who invented the light bulb and discovered electricity)

You're born. You suffer. You die. Fortunately, there's a loophole. - Billy Graham (powerful evangelist, preaching the gospel to millions)

Both Jewish and Roman sources and traditions admit an empty tomb.
- Josh McDowell, (used to not believe in God)

Why don't the names of Buddha, Mohammed, Confucius offend people? The reason is that these others didn't claim to be God, but Jesus did.
- Josh McDowell (used to not believe in God)

"You can tap that Power (of God) for your tuition, your clothes, your books, your health, your business, everything! When you go out to preach the gospel you are not preaching a vague objective, a theory, philosophy, or human religion. You are actually teaching people how to tap endless resources!" - David Yonggi Cho, a Korean Pastor, converted from Buddhism.
