God is my Father. and only when God is my Father, can His measure of love be fully understood.

if God was ONLY a King, high above the heavens, and not also a Father, how can He truly love us?

of the 99 names the muslims have for "God", they have all but one, which is "Abba".

of all the names the world has for their gods, i have one for mine, which is Abba my Father.

of all the names i know about God, 'Heavenly Father' is the most beautiful one. this name tells me how much God desires to know us, and have us back into His Kingdom.

we did not forget God's majesty and glory and "make God" to become our level by calling Him our Father. Instead, we have been raised as children of God by He Himself just as 1 John 3:1 states:

see what love The Father has given us,that we should be called children of God,and so we are.

God has narrowed the gap between mankind and Himself, because He loves us.

it is only logical that if someone loves another, he/she would naturally want to draw close to the other.

how nonsensical would it be, if i say "i love you", and yet i draw myself as far as i could from you, and say to you,"you cannot know me, you can only obey me".

therefore, because God so loved us, that He had to draw close to us, in order that we draw close to Him, because we are the unfaithful ones.

Romans 8:15 says

for you did not receive a spirit of bondage again for fear, but you did receive a spirit of adoption in which we cry, 'Abba Father'

only when we come to a realisation that we are cursed and bound for hell and that out of GRACE and MERCY did God adopt us through the death of Christ, would we then cry out "My Father! My God!" from our innermost being.

only when we see that God Himself has come to suffer on our behalf in order to reconcile sinful men as us to Himself, will we call out "Abba Father!'

for if we have the spirit of BONDAGE and fear, can we draw near to God?

if we truly have the spirit of BONDAGE and fear, then we can NEVER draw near to God, NEVER realise His unfathomable love for us and NEVER truly call God "my Abba"

looking back at my previous blog entries, i became glad.

i realised how much i have grown, even though i AM STILL struggling with certain things.

i was so entangled by my own problems and never was i able to say "away from me you evil one!"

but now i can. and i know God has the victory over all my problems. i just need to be patient, and stop sulking and saying,"the world's NOT FAIR!"

one aspect of spiritual maturity is to be patient and wait on the Lord. when you wait on The Lord, you display trust, and you understand that God NEVER fails.

and He never fails. men and women lie, but God does not lie or deceive.

be sure, He will always pick you up. you just need to hang onto the cross and say "get lost satan!"

ISAIAH 40:31

But those who wait for YAHWEH (THE LORD) will renew their strength. They will mount up with wings like eagles. They will run, and not be weary. They will walk, and not faint. 

rejoice rejoice! we had one muslim friend in Nissi 3 last saturday. she came to know the Lord Jesus Christ!

she is facing persecution from her family. but things are getting better. praise God!

nice food, nice atmosphere, and nice BILLS too. well, once a year. haha..

chocolate fondoe, cream fish, snow fish (VERY NICE), sashimi, sushi, crab, prawn salad, rice, mushroom soup, lamb etc etc.

then, brought them to st andrew's cathedral. and when we stepped in, they were singing, "Lord i offer my life".

was praying that God would even speak thru that little song, to my sister and mother.

first time i spend so much on mom's day. but i guess God told me not to be stingy la.

its crowded in worship service in SNL today. and people are rushing in, screaming, shouting, trying to snatch for places.

BUT amist of your fun, 

did you notice the girl in spagetthi straps when she walked in alone into SNL worship service?

did you notice the group of noisy and rowdy boys who came into SNL worship service and going to the back row to sit?

did you notice the traveller, who is far from home and feeling home sick, and decides to come into SNL service to take a look?

did you notice a woman trudging into SNL worship service, hoping to find a solution for her rebellious son?

did you notice the girl who spots a tattoo on her arm in your group?

did you notice the sad look that the new boy has in your group, even though he is laughing and jumping?

do you notice people around you who are in need?

or do you just immerse yourself in your own fun and comfort?

remember how people were so kind towards you when you first came?

do the same to people who are new, people who are hurt and deceived by satan.

dun take God's grace in vain.

its time to GROW UP spiritually and pour on the same amount of love and concern people have poured unto you when u first came.

stop thinking abt ur own needs, ur own complains, ur own problems, ur own priorities.

care for people who are new in your group! treasure them like God treasure you and THEM!

if we are the Body of Christ,

then, we as His hands must heal. 

we as His arms must reach out patiently.

we as His words must correct and teach righteousness.

we as His feet must continue to go and share His good news

we as His eyes must faithfully look out for people who are hurt, and in need!

if the Love of God is in us,

we won't judge people who look and behave differently.

if the Love of God is in us,

we will care for others like He cares for us.

if the Love of God is in us,

we will treasure and love every NEWCOMER we have in our midst.

Do you not say, 'Four months more and then the harvest'? I tell you, open your eyes and look at the fields! They are ripe for harvest. 

when approaching people for street Evangelism.

1. STRETCH out YOUR HAND to shake the interviewee's hand
2. introduce yourself as : Hi, i am from a youth organisation in Singapore. i'm not selling anything, and it won't take up much of a time. can i do a short survey about ***** with you?
3. always have eye contact and SMILE.
4. one person ask the questions, one person pray. person who is praying must also smile.
5. if the interviewee wants to know the Someone who will love them, go to a comfortable place and continue to do NEWLIFE lesson 1.
6. at the end of the survey, whether they want to know about God, you must ASK FOR THEIR CONTACTS and invite them to SNL and cell gathering!
7. if interviewee accepts Christ, tell him/her that he/she need not go home straightaway and tell their parents about their new found faith. instead, tell them to pray.
8. contact them via calling, sms within 24HOURS, as satan can attack them within 24HOURS.
9. meet them up for lunch, lesson2 within 2 to 3 days. know them as YOUR FRIEND, not just a "project".
10. if interviewee does not accept Christ, ASK WHY? reasons might be:
• parents don't allow (then you ask: "how about YOURSELF, do you want to believe in God who can help you? and answer your prayers, and love you?)
• not sure (ask again, and explain that God has brought you hear to tell the interviewee about CHRIST, and there is absolute no mistake that he/she hears about the good news!)
