I love God more than ever

i chatted with my brother on MSN. he is in China now. do pray for his safety, anyone who sees this.

but we had a nice chat.

God suddenly prompted me to ask my brother this question: if we do not have anyone or anything we can die for in our lives, do you think that much of the meaning of life has been lost?

and he answered me: yes.

 

how true is this verse :

For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain.

so i started telling my brother that dying in Christianity is about dying to self, and certain desires, and even ultimately to die as a martyr for Jesus Christ.

and then I THINK (im not sure), that my bro got an idea that Christian martyrs are like those "muslim martyrs", where we go around bombing and killing, and blowing ourselves up.

so i explained to him that Christian martyrs are defensive. not offensive. as in that i will nto deny Jesus Christ even to death.

then i went on to talk about Christianity teaching God directly reaching out to humankind, in the manifestation of Jesus Christ, and that no other religion teaches that.

and he went on to tell me that guanying ma and monkey "god" has directly reached out to humankind too, by answering prayers.

i was like ..........er......but when i wanted to explain about guanying ma and monkey god being legends and not historically sound contrary to the life of Jesus Christ, he said he had to go off. so well, it ended.

For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain.

oh Jesus Jesus, how beautiful it is, and how privileged it is, that i am able to die for Your glory and to die in Your death, that every morning, i would wake up and be able to die to my evil desires, my selfish wants, that i would carry my cross and die to myself.

that by dying Lord, i know then i am worthy to be called Your disciple. and Lord, people might be dying for the wrong cause, and the wrong people, and the wrong things, but Lord i know that i'm dying for You, because You as Lord, died for me first.

that is a direct connection to my very heart and soul. truly to what me and my brother have agreed upon that life will lose much of its meaning if we do not have anything or anyone we can die for, that dying in You, is truly a worthy cause. 

Oh Jesus, that even if one day you call me to death for the defence of Your Gospel, i would do that, in a way that i would NEVER deny my faith and Your name that saves.

because i would die for Truth.

we have 6 cell groups officially now! praise the Lord!

the very purpose of us multiplying is just to expand His Kingdom, and even for BETTER facilitation and care.

with a smaller group comes greater benefits like:

• two groups of people inviting friends to cell group is always better than one group of people inviting friends to cell group. WHAT MORE SIX GROUPS OF PEOPLE INVITING FRIENDS?
• we can take care of each others' needs better. each of us can focus and spend our attention on one or two people, rather than each person focusing on 4 people in a group of 20 people.
• missing people, or BACKSLIDING people can be spotted very quickly in smaller groups.
• smaller groups can move faster around in church!
• smaller groups are easier to organise in terms of seats in Service.

so praise God of archers1, archers2, Nissiacts1, Nissiacts2, Nissiacts3, and KNIGHTS!

1. growth in your own cell group!
2. pray for ONE or TWO friends that you will BLESS, FELLOWSHIP, MEET THEIR NEEDS and SHARE THE GOSPEL with, that they can come to ur CELL GROUPS NEXT WEEK!
3. pray that this ONE OR TWO friends that you are going to BLESS, FELLOWSHIP, MEET THEIR NEEDS and SHARE THE GOSPEL with will come to watch NARNIA TOO!

 some real bad errors about The Da Vin Ci Code

1. dan brown did not even get the painter's name right. his name was Leonardo, and people address him as such. not Da Vinci. Da Vinci just means "from the town of vinci". so it sounds quite dumb when translated: the from the town of vinci code
2. in the book preface, dan brown states that “All descriptions of artwork, architecture, documents, and secret rituals in this novel are accurate”. Ya, accurate in his own misquotings, misrepresentations of information, and according to his own perspective. many other scholars think otherwise. and don't forget, his book is in the "FICTION" corner. did mr brown also think that 3 little pigs ACTUALLY happen before?
3. dan brown claims in the book that mary magdelene was the person beside Jesus, not john the beloved disciple, in the famous Last Supper Painting. the problem is, if thats mary, then where is john? is dan brown trying to say that Leonardo the famous painter, forgot to paint disciple John who wrote 5 books in the bible? mad. how can that be?
4. dan brown said that the dead sea scrolls were found in the 1950s. huh? i think he failed his history lessons. the scrolls were found in 1947.
5. dan brown also stated in his book that Jesus Christ never claimed to be divine and was never worshipped as GOD until the Council of Nicea in 325 A.D. where a people came and decide with votes that Jesus is God. this is wrong too. the gospels of matthew,mark,luke,john were completed before 100A.D, long before the Council of Nicea. and all of us know that Jesus is often addressed as LORD, and even as being the Word of God and the Word being God.  Jesus Christ also proclaimed in the Bible that He and The Father is One.

6. The Church did not burn 5 million witches during the Middle Ages, as claimed in the da vinci code. During the period 1400-1800, an estimated 30,000-50,000 people accused of witchcraft (20 percent of whom were men) were executed by Catholic and Protestant institutions and governments. WOW.what a big difference! what is mr brown's agenda!?

7. One of Brown's scholars says, "As the prophesied Messiah, Jesus toppled kings, inspired millions and founded new philosophies." We'd like to meet those "toppled kings". there are many much more such puffy, baseless and generic sentences in his book.

 lets just read da vin ci code as an exciting thriller like snow white and the seven dwarves.

regarding the gospel of Judas found recently, which dates back to 300 years after Jesus died and rose, i only got one thing to say.

would something my close friend write about me OR something a person who live 300 years after me from now writes about me, whom i don't even know and vice versa BE MORE ACCURATE?

GOSPEL OF JUDAS

the gospel of judas is a GNOSTIC GOSPEL.

gnostic gospels: writings by people who claimed to be "disciples" or "believers" of Jesus Christ. these writers also say they had "secret revelation" from God. gnostic gospels are BLASPHEMOUS, untrue, not in line with the early reliable teachings of Jesus, inconsistent with the teachings of Jesus' closest disciples or apostle paul, and not agreeable to the Divine Nature of Jesus Christ

Gospel of Judas:

1. found recently in the desert of Egypt written in about 300A.D
2. about 300 years after Jesus rose and after judas hung himself
3. unknown writer
4. claims that Jesus told judas to betray HE HIMSELF so that judas can exceed the other disciples
5. claims that judas was actually closest to Jesus, not john the beloved
6. gospel is not the 1st untrue, blasphemous inaccurate gospel that was found. other fake gospels include gospel of mary, of philip and of thomas etc.

why is the gospel of judas (or any other gnostic gospels) not reliable?

1. they are not written by Jesus' closest disciples
2. have inconsistency to the teachings of Jesus Himself, and teachings of Jesus closest disciples, and apostle paul
3. writers of these gospels are USUALLY unknown, or identity of writer is FORGED
4. these fake gospels do not agree with the early gospels of matthew, mark, luke and john about Jesus being God and having DIVINE characteristics
5. for gospel of judas, its ORIGINAL text was written about 200 YEARS after judas hung himself. so not only was the gospel of judas not written by judas himself, it was written by someone who lived 200 years AFTER judas died. thats 1/5 of a millenium. imagine someone writing about you after you had died for 200 years.
6. there are major inconsistencies within these gospels too.

1 Timothy 4:1-2

The Spirit clearly says that in later times some will abandon the faith and follow deceiving spirits and things taught by demons. Such teachings come through hypocritical liars, whose consciences have been seared as with a hot iron.

1 Timothy 1:3-6

As I urged you when I went into Macedonia, stay there in Ephesus so that you may command certain men neither to teach false doctrines any longer nor to devote themselves to myths and endless genealogies. These promote controversies rather than God’s work – which is by faith.

2 Peter 2:1-3

But there were false prophets among the people, just as there will be false teachers among you. They will secretly introduce destructive heresies, even denying the Sovereign Lord who bought them, bringing swift destruction upon themselves. Many will follow their shameful ways and will bring the truth into disrepute. In their greed, these teachers will exploit you with STORIES they have made up. Their condemnation has long been hanging over them, and their destruction has not been sleeping.

Gnostic gospels are not new. As early as after Jesus rose, the early Christians have been warned by Jesus’ disciples about perverse, demonic teachings, bent on swaying people from the truth. God shall expose these lies and punish those who are out rightly blasphemous.

yes Lord, who am i? that You would care about me? and know the number of my hairs on my head?

i'm an unfaithful dust You created. but Lord You are always faithful, always answering my prayers. You are always there to pick me up, ready to receive me when i run away.

like a Father searching for His son,

like a woman looking for her precious coin,

like Shepherd finding His lost sheep.

You are in heaven, and i am here. but yet You collect my tears and You count them. Yet You watch over me and make sure i'm fine.

why did You create me? who am i?

that even the angels wonder, who are these sinful creations, that The King Himself would come to die for them, that He would be willing to be shamed, to be crucified?

i can almost imagine this scene in heaven when Jesus was about to go in flesh into the sinful world :

Angel Michael: oh Wondrous Lord, why did you create these creatures?

Jesus: just because i love them.

Angel Michael: You love us too. We did not fail you, only those who are condemned till eternity, but these humans failed you! and they constantly fail You my Lord!

Jesus: yes i know. I still love them. but i hate the sin in them.

ANgel Michael: You are the Bright Morning Star. but who are they Lord? who are they? they are nothing but dust whom You have assigned for us to serve!

Jesus: not just dust. they have got My breath of life, My very own.

Angel Michael: oh how great is Your love and are Your plans My Majesty. they have betrayed You. they have rejected You. they have sinned against Your Spirit. we as Your servants can go on Your behalf to wipe out those unfaithful dirt but still i know Lord, that You are destined to take all that to Yourself.

Jesus: this is the only way Michael. that by this can they be snatched out of the hands of the evil one. by this can The Law be fulfilled.

Angel Michael: is there no other way Lord? we grieve for You, but Lord we know this is Your best and only plan.

Angel Gabriel: pardon me my Lord that i ask this. we know You love them so much. but still, we as angels, we always wonder about Your everlasting love for them. why them? who are they? that You should create a splendid plan for them?

Jesus: I love them as my children. I love them as my very own. this Love is unfathomable and beyond your understanding. By My Blood will they be set free and the debt for their sins paid full. and yes this is the only way. I have to go now.

Angel Michael: it will be another 30 years You are to be down there in those dumps. but Your Spirit will be with us in the heavens. Oh Great King, You chose those dumps instead of Your throne. You chose suffering instead of riches and glories, but only for awhile we know. You will be condemned, but they will be spared. You will be forsaken, but they will be forgive. You chose death upon Yourself instead of upon those cursed creatures.

Father God: Now, into the world My Word shall go forth. My Fullness in a helpless babe. and that because I love them so much,  I shall be with them, and they shall reject Me and My Word.

Angel Michael: Oh Lord, all of the heavens shall be waiting for Your unveiling of Your Saving Grace.

Jesus: I will be back, risen and in glory and power and honour. and then, those who love and see that I AM THE ONE with them, they will tell the rest of thw world about Me. even then, the evil one will be in terror.

Angel Gabriel: Lord, allow me go with You.

1Peter1:10-12

10Concerning this salvation, the prophets, who spoke of the grace that was to come to you, searched intently and with the greatest care, 11trying to find out the time and circumstances to which the Spirit of Christ in them was pointing when he predicted the sufferings of Christ and the glories that would follow. 12It was revealed to them that they were not serving themselves but you, when they spoke of the things that have now been told you by those who have preached the gospel to you by the Holy Spirit sent from heaven. Even angels long to look into these things.
