WWJD ? (what will Jesus do?)

what will Jesus do in every situation?

---think about this for a moment. if Jesus were in your place. If Jesus were in Choa Chu Kang Secondary, if He were in SJI, MGS, or Kranji Secondary, wearing a uniform, carrying a bag. or if Jesus were a business man, wearing a suit, and carrying a suitcase. or if Jesus were a average Singaporean in the streets, what will He do in everything?

 

as YOU READ, you should think through, and put urself into the situation  

1.WWJD if there is an old lady, pregnant lady, mother with kids on the bus/train/bus stop/food court?

2.WWJD if His friends started to talk dirty, talk vulgar?

3.WWJD if people started to talk rubbish about our God in a public place?

4.WWJD if your friends start to challenge your faith? will you keep quiet and smile sheepishly? or will you defend ur faith intelligently and gently?

5.WWJD if He sees injustice being done on the streets?

6.WWJD if His family members told Him to bow before statues and idols?

7.WWJD if His family members forcefully forbid Him to go church?

8.WWJD if His friends are beside Him and have nothing better to talk about?

9.WWJD if His grandparents are dying in the bed?

10.WWJD if someone asks Him to go into a boy-ger relationship?

11.WWJD if someone challenges Him to put a ear stud on? or a ear ring.

12.WWJD if someone hands Him a teenage magazine and encourage strongly that He reads it?

13.WWJD if He sees a boy on the bus and He is prompted to share the Gospel?

14.WWJD if He hears friends gossiping about another "outcaste"  in class?

15.WWJD if His teacher scolded Him for something He did not do?

16.WWJD if He had alot of homework and His friends asked Him to go swim or play soccer?

17.WWJD if He had to choose between Church and A PARTY, or a friends'gathering?

18.WWJD if He is offered a cigarette?

19.WWJD if He sees HIS best friend (disciple John) doing something wrong?

20.WWJD if an ex-christian/backslidden christian in His class starts to joke about God and starts to bring a BAD NAME to Christianity?

21.WWJD if overnight He lost His family, money, health and everything He had?

 

if only you (yes you) would ask urself WHAT WILL JESUS DO in YOUR situation? then you will know that it is very clear cut. there are no grey areas. only black and white. choose the right one. 

if Jesus will reject a cigarette, if Jesus will correct His best friend for doing something wrong, if Jesus will choose Church over other activities, if Jesus WILL NOT bow to pressure from friends or bow down to idols..... then

WHAT WILL YOU DO in every situation of ur life?

 

Ephesians4:13 - ...until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ.

1 Thessalonians 4:7 - For God did not call us to be impure, but to live a holy life.

Colossians 3:1-2 - Since, then, you have been raised with Christ, set your hearts on things above, where Christ is seated at the right hand of God. ²Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things.

Philippians 2:5 - Your attitude should be the same as that of Christ Jesus.

2 Corinthians 10:5 - We demolish arguments and every pretension (proudness/fakeness) that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.

 

I cannot stress more than to tell you that living for Jesus Christ is A LIFESTYLE. It is your life, dedicated to Him, not a religion, not a feel-good thing.

Everywhere we walk, we should be thinking Jesus"ly". Everything we do, we should be doing it Jesus"ly".

be more like Christ as we perservere on towards the goal. 

do what Jesus will do today. Love Him.

there is a kind of vicious cycle (something u are trapped in without u knowing it sometimes) which sometimes we dwell in.

it starts with believing first.

but when we believe, we do not do what we are supposed to do.

so then we decide to do what we believe.

but when we start to do it again, we do not really believe in it.

and when we do not believe in it, we try to believe again.

and when we believe again, its yet another cycle of believing and not doing, doing and not believing. 

 

take for example, gossip.

we believe that we should not gossip, cos God told us not to for a VERY good reason.

but sometimes, we don't obey it, we keep gossiping.

and when we do learn not to gossip, we do not really believe in the harmful consequences of gossiping. like we might think, its just once. no one will know.

 

another example is BGR.

we believe that we should not go into BGR. sometimes, we say "yar of i cos i noe we shld not go into BGR."

but believing is not enough, and sometimes, people still tend to do it.

and when we do learn that BGR is not beneficial now, and we do not go into BGRs, we tend not to totally believe in it.

 

a lot of times, we KNOW we shld not do certain things. and WE BOAST of our standards. but wait a minute...

 

do we do as what we preach? and when we do start obeying and doing... do we believe it totally according to Christ?

 

believe what God says, do it with total belief according to God's instructions. 

 

Matthew23:13"Woe to you...[if] you lock the kingdom of heaven ⁸ before human beings."

this entry is about whether u choose to see the masses who are lost out there or choose to just walk pass them, day by day, hour by hour, minute by minute, second by second, as we draw closer to usher in Jesus' coming.

share an experience with you. hundreds of christians were waiting for the shuttle bus at the kallang bus stop. HUNDREDS. everyone was talking, chatting, playing, praying even, that they could get into the stadium. everyone was so excited to get to Festival of Praise, desiring to experience God in a different way.

it was great to see so many youths gathering for a great event. busy getting onto the chartered buses...so busy, so excited, or even so "faithful"...

that they failed to see a boy sitting by the queue quietly, looking curiously at the crowd, and having a troubled face. 

now, i am talking about HUNDREDS of christians walking pass this boy.

yet NOT EVEN ONE, went forward to ask, to present the Gospel, or was even sensitive to God's cry for that soul 

i was greatly saddened. yet i knew i HAD to do something for this injustice.

i went up to the boy (praise God), with the encouragement of Phyllis (my cell member) and sat down beside him and shared with this boy. (by the way, he had a baby brother with him on a pram). 

praise God for the prompting, praise God for the faith He gave me. praise God to the highest, because this boy RECEIVED CHRIST ON THE SPOT. after sharing for 30 minutes or so.

i cannot express how much on how great our God is.... 

true enough, the boy had some family problems. family was divorced.before i spoke to him, i did sensed in the Spirit he had family problems. and he had studies problems too...

if only we will OBEY GOD, and love Him, and love PEOPLE. 

 

u might say to me, "u r a cell leader, u got more faith, and more COURAGE"

to be honest, i was just as scared to my pants. like anyone. i was just as doubtful as anyone. i was just as unprepared and unequipped like anyone at the queue...

the difference is whether YOU VALUE TRUTH, and that you want ppl to KNOW THE TRUTH TOO...and not letting ppl be TRICKED anymore.

the difference is whether you OBEY GOD.

the difference is whether you see that person through GOD'S EYES, of how much God wants the boy to come back to Jesus.

the difference is...whether u love people so much....that u jus cry out for them when u see them lost and troubled. that you just wan to love them, like how Jesus loves them.

 

we do not give excuses/reasons like

1. "oh, i am not prepared." it is about whether you want to let that person know the truth, no matter what the circumstances.

i did not have any least MATERIALS with me. so "oh i do nt have materials with me" is not an excuse.

did people in the Jesus time have materials when they PREACH? SHOCKINGLY, (to some) NO.

2. "OH I'm rushing for something (like FOP)." or school. or work. or meeting friends. or catching a bus or train.

U CHOOSE. one soul saved? or ur event.

3. "aiya....maybe its not God..." if ONLY THE CHRISTIANS WILL GO IN OBEDIENCE! AND WITH FAITH FROM GOD and not DOUBT!

Matthew 21:21
Jesus replied, "I tell you the truth, if you have faith and do not doubt, not only can you do what was done to the fig tree, but also you can say to this mountain, `Go, throw yourself into the sea,' and it will be done.

Philippians 2:13
...for it is God who works in you to will and to act according to his good purpose.
 

4. "oh those people look rowdy/dumb/dirty/smelly/sickly/not-my-kind-of-people i want to preach to/like they do not need Christ.

5. "i am scared, people will not like me...my friends will hate me..."

Galatians 4:16 - "Am I therefore become your enemy, because I tell you the truth?"

 

Matthew 8:2-3
A man with leprosy came and knelt before him and said, "Lord, if you are willing, you can make me clean." Jesus reached out his hand and touched the man. "I am willing," he said. "Be clean!" Immediately he was cured of his leprosy.

leprosy was considered one of the "dirtiest" skin disease at that time...but still Jesus stretched out His loving hands.. 

if i and Phyllis felt and heard God's cry for that soul, why did not the rest of the feew hundred christians hear it?

ithere might be alot of reasons..but all the reasons will tell us 2 things, we are either too busy to hear the Holy Spirit, or too doubtful about the Holy Spirit's call.

love people today. if u love the lost so much, it will cover everything and it will cost u everything just to tell them the Gospel. it will cost u ur "face", ur pride, ur money, ur time...

see them through how God sees them: a lost soul, burdened with the yoke of satan.

"There is no fear in love; but perfect love (for God, for people) casteth out fear ... "

"So will I sing praise unto THY(YOUR) name for ever. that I may daily perform my vows."

1 Corinthians 13 : 1-3

If I speak in human and angelic tongues ² but do not have love, I am a resounding gong or a clashing cymbal.
And if I have the gift of prophecy and comprehend all mysteries and all knowledge; if I have all faith so as to move mountains but do not have love, I am nothing.
If I give away everything I own, and if I hand my body over so that I may boast but do not have love, I gain nothing.

Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends."

lay down your lives for EVERY friend out there who is lost and without Jesus. lay down your lives for JesuS Christ. 

 

 

 

MORE TERMS! 

some christian terms YOUNG AND OLD CHRISTIANS need to know

atheism: Atheism is the belief that God does not exist. Atheists believe that there is no God. 

atonenment: Atonement is the act of bringing man and God together. It is the same as “reconciliation.” When Jesus died on the cross, he made possible the Atonement of men with God. Therefore, He is called our “Atonement.”

communion: Communion is a special name for the “Lord’s Supper.” The word “communion” emphasizes the fellowship we have with the Lord Jesus Christ and with other Christians in this beautiful ordinance.

denomination: A denomination is a Christian group that believes things and practices things slightly differently from other Christian groups. Individual churches are often part of a larger denomination. (e.g., charasmatic (COSBT is charasmatic), baptist, bible presbyterian, methodist, lutherian, gregorian, ) However, all Christian denominations agree that the Lord Jesus Christ is God who became man in order to die for our sins, and that faith in Him is the only way to receive eternal life. 

doctrine: Doctrine is a term that means the teachings and principles that are taught in the Bible.

gospel: “Gospel” literally means “good news.” It refers to the good news that Jesus Christ, God the Son, became a man like us. He lived a perfect and sinless life. He died on the cross to pay the penalty for our sin. He rose again and lives forever. He will forgive our sin and give us eternal life when we repent of our sin and put our faith in Him.

heresy: Heresy refers to such serious errors in what people believe that the people who believe those things cannot really be Christians. For example, it is heresy to believe that Jesus Christ or the Holy Spirit is not truly God. It is heresy to believe that there is some other way (for example, our own good works) to be saved from our sins other than faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. It is heresy to believe that Jesus did not really die for our sins, or that He did not rise from the dead.

incarnation: The incarnation refers to the time when God (who is Spirit) became a man. This occurred when Jesus (God the Son) was conceived by God the Father by means of God the Holy Spirit (see: "Trinity" in Mary’s womb. (John1:1 Word refers to Jesus, Jesus is God)

Messiah: The word “Messiah” comes from the Hebrew word that is translated by the Greek word that means “Christ. (saviour)

Altar  The place of sacrifice in church in the present day, where Christians go forward to the altar to rededicate to God, to sacrifice certain things in their lives, to cry out to God etcetc...which also represents the table where Jesus shared the last supper with his disciples. Also a representation of Old Testament sacrificial altars of animals and burnt offerings to God. 

Apocrypha (a-por-krer- fur) A section of the Bible not accepted by all Christians but accepted by Catholics.

Blasphemy  Words that are spoken against God,  like, "God is fake. Holy Spirit's power is fake (this sin committed by believers is UNPARDONABLE)" (MATTHEW12:31)

Covenant - an agreement done between God and people, or an individual, a Promise.

Satan - the sabo king.

Grace

The loving help that God gives to all human beings, an undeserved gift.

 Sabbath Day/Sabbatical - A rest day to worship God, to come church, one of the ten commandments observed by Jews, Christians etc..Sunday or Saturday. by the Jewish calender, Saturday is the Sabbath Day.

Samaritans - A group of people living in Samaria during Jesus' time, considered by the Jews to be inferior. (John 4:7-10) 

Trinity - Father God, Jesus Christ, Holy Spirit, One God, in 3 personalities/forms etc. can be explained with the concept of TIME, and STATES OF WATER, that God works according to the law of nature. 

YAHWEH - Another name for God, which had to be spoken in a whisper by the Jews because of the Holiness of God. 

Armageddon - a place in Israel which will hold the world's last battle against Israel before Jesus' coming back.

Pentecost: Pentecost is a Jewish feast day celebrated 50 days after Passover. It has significance to Christians because that first Pentecost after the crucifixion was when the Holy Spirit was sent to the Christians as the Comforter, and people spoke in TONGUES OF FIRE. (Acts 2)

Passover: Festival celebrating the liberation of the Israelites from the Egyptians

 Pharisee: The Pharisees were a group of extremely devout Jews who were intent on obeying the Laws of Moses to the letter. Their error was in missing the spirit of the laws. Today when Christians talk about someone being like a Pharisee, they are talking about a person who is rigidly applying the Scripture to their lives and missing the spirit of love that Jesus wants us to have

see a man faint in the bus, what do you do?

see an old woman struggling with bags of groceries, what do you do?

WHY IS GOD INVISIBLE TO THE NAKED EYES TODAY?

one of the reasons why He chooses not to be visible to day is : because His people has to LIVE His PRESENCE OUT.

Behave His Presence outwardly, Show His Presence outwardly, Carry His Presence outwardly,

so that...

people might come to know Him through FATIH, through the LOVE of God present in His people.

"Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen."                                     Hebrews 11:1 (KJV)

so does God wants people to see Him? YOU BET! but not the Real Person of Him (not yet), but through the Love of Christ poured upon the people of God. why? Because God is Love. Which other gods is love other than our Lord God Almighty?

Love covers all things.the Bible says. with Love comes compassion. with Love comes understanding, with Love comes truth, with Love comes discipline.

have this picture in ur mind, when all the christians walk around in the streets, or are in their living rooms, or in their schools... and if they let the Love of God "ooozzee" out of them, what will people see? what will people say?

i tell u christians, people will see "little Jesus" walking around everywhere! not as if we are "God", but the image of Him, the likeness of Him. and people will say "oh those are christians, praise their God!"

true is the verse: "Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven." [Matthew 5:16]

 

now on the contrary, if you behave like a little "satan" everywhere you go, no matter where you are, people will say: "are those christians? oh my gosh....is that what God taught them? then they are no different from ther rest of the world!"

so..ask urself..are you a little "Jesus" humble, and loving, or a BIG "SATAN" proud, rude, not being a good testimony of God?

 

Deuteronomy 10:14-15

Indeed heaven and the highest heavens belong to the LORD your God, also the earth with all that is in it. The LORD delighted only in your fathers, to love them; and He chose their descendants after them, you above all peoples, as it is this day.

 

God has chosen you to this day to live a life worthy of His calling. He has chosen you since the Beginning to these last days, to manifest the Presence and Loving Character of our Living God.

be sure not to disappoint Jesus! HE has no other plans to tell people of the Gospel other than U!

He has put His trust in you that you will bring the Love of Christ on the cross to the world by your testimony, your good behaviour, your love for God, your passion for God.  

 MATTHEW 25:32-40 “Then the King will say to those on his right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world. For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.’

“Then the righteous will answer him, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?’
“The King will reply, ‘I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me.’

if you help and love with your heart with the Love of God, you are doing it unto Jesus. if we choose to ignore, not love, not help, we are also doing it against God too.

are you the sheep or goat? 

(start by really helping someone you dislike, you hate, or some stranger with the Love of God, not with your own love. As you help, you WILL REALISE the desire of Christ for that person to be saved!)

Live it out, Spread His love.

 last week after dinner at Fei Xiong, a few of us went to prayer walk a buddhist event beside Fei Xiong. We spoke in tongues for salvation, and we did binding work right in the enemy's territory. there were a lot of weird things going on.

the Singapore paranomial investigation team was there trying to check out spiritual activites like GHOSTS(lame). there were ppl "bathing the statue buddha in a SPA???????" and ppl were going up to an altar to throw charcoal in to burn (HUH???) ya.. so we jus went there to pray against spiritual blindness...

in jus one night, we shared the Gospel of Jesus Christ to about 8 youths.

AND WE REALISED WE SHARED RIGHT SMACK IN THE TERRITORY OF SATAN .haha. we din care much.we jus wanted ppl to hear the Gospel. gone with the shyness, gone with the uncertainty. we jus went forward.haha 

i was so fed up that satan is woking overnight and overtime LITERALLY. youths were going to the event to "check out" the event at 11pm! argh.. so a few of the older ones decided to prayer walk. 

8 ppl got to hear the Gospel that night. praise Jesus

 

and tonight which is one week later after our dinner, we went lot one to prayer walk abit. and it is when we are together, we find courage and unity to share the Gospel. other times, its very hard to do so cos of timing and stuff.

 

and tonight, 3 BOYS RECEIVED CHRIST. indeed, the HARVEST IS RIPE UNTO HARVEST. 

yes we PRAYED.. AND YES GOD ANSWERED and HE HAS OPENED UP A LOT OF PEOPLE'S HEARTS to Jesus. BUT ARE WE DOING IT NOW? at least i know i have done my part and some of my cell members. but can U account to God when u SEE HIM?

like what the verse says, STOP GIVING excuses like its nt the timing, or im not ready. becos it says, the harvest is ready. lift up ur down casted eyes and see!everything has been prepared by God.

 

nowadays u wont believe it is SO EASY to share the Gospel!!!! People are hungry for the Word of God, people are desperate to find purpose and meaning in life and ppl are looking for God to help them. why?

this is the result of the MANY YEARS of prayers by christians in singapore for God to send a wave thru singapore ! becos Jesus is coming back! BECOS we r in the end times...! a prophecy to be fulfilled.but the  sad problem is...........are the christians ready??

imagine if we had walked pass these 3 boys becos we were lazy or becos we were scared or unsure, then from tonight onwards, these BOYS' LIVES WILL NEVER CHANGE. and it WILL BE THE SAME til Jesus comes back. it is scary if everyone thinks, "oh that christian will do the job for me."

i am so glad and im sure my frens are to, too, that we went forward to share. becos in the process, we felt our First Love again. in the process, we learnt what is dying to ourselves and being COMPELLED to share the Gospel to people. in the process we understood a little bit of HOW MUCH GOD LOVES the boys. in the process, we OBEYED GOD.

 

this is our msg to the people out there now. Mark 1:15 ..."The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: REPENT ye, AND BELIEVE the gospel." 

 

what time is it? let me tell u. THE TIME IS NOW!  

i suddenly remember what kept me coming back to cell group last time.

yes, first of all, it was God's presence, and God's work in my life. another thing was that cell group was a place where i can share my problems with the people.

it was (and still is) a place of refuge for me when i was down, persecuted and tired. i would go to my leader then (Lynn Chong Ning Shuang) and tell her about my problems. but most of the times, she approaches me to ask me. Wanping too! haha. she used to ask me.

share ur problems with ur frens in cell, wif ur leaders. and listen to ppl who can give u Godly advice to lead u out of ur problems.

ppl who advice, dun jus say "pray loh". yes we must pray, and prayers are the most important. the first to do. but we must do actual things to help.

if one bro/sis is spirituall down, we pray and we ENCOURAGE. we find out what is causing the spiritual down. and we try to advice what God would tell that person.

if one bro/sis is in a financial situation, dun jus say pray for you! provide for him/her for that meal that he/she cannot afford to.

if one bro/sis is being hurt or upset, be there for him/her. share ur experiences of being hurt and upset, and how u seeked God for forgiveness of that person.

      Show me your faith without deeds, and I will show you my faith by what I do.

    ²⁵In the same way, was not even Rahab the prostitute considered righteous for what she did when she gave lodging to the spies and sent them off in a different direction? ²⁶As the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without deeds is dead.

--we are saved by the Cross alone. and when we have SURE salvation, love and care and concern and good deeds should come naturally, to help and love others, becos of how God has loved us. we are not saved by works.

but the question is, if u dun love ppl,dun care for ppl, do u have salvation in the first place anyway? did u really know God?

1 John 4 : 7-8 Beloved, let us love one another, because love is of God; everyone who loves is begotten by God and knows God.

Whoever is without love does not know God, for God is love.

love one another today. help, show concern to ur fellow brothers and sisters

praise God for some of your obedience in the area of street evangelism.

over the last 2 weeks? when a few of us started planting "Jesus Bombs" everywhere, and street Eeing, more than 15 boys and gers have received Jesus into their lives, i believe. from Lot one to west mall, u guys did great! praise u all. and God. do u believe that these ppl's lives have been changed from that mOMENT u obeyed God? COOL

Invite the people who received Christ from street-E to the steamboat, cell grp and night life. u dun wan satan to snatch their souls back.

FOLLOW UP! i approached a kranjian inthe library and he accepted Christ. i followed up on him the following week, and he actually stepped into church for 10 minutes. i actually came out of school b4 presentation to meet him in a short span of time.well at least, it makes a difference. im nt boastin, but im trying to show u all the EFFORT u need to put in in FOLLOW-UPS.
